Ingredients of Sooji ka halwa

  1. You need 100 gm of sooji.
  2. Prepare 100 gm of sugar.
  3. Prepare 200 ml of water.
  4. You need 1 tsp of Garam masala (cloves, green cardomom,cinnamon).
  5. It’s 100 gm of Ghee.
  6. It’s As needed of Food colouring as per choice.
  7. You need as needed of Dry fruits as per choice.

Sooji ka halwa instructions

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan and some garam masala to it.
  2. Now add the sooji and fry it till it turns slight brown.
  3. On the other side make a syrup with the sugar and water.
  4. Now add the syrup into the sooji and stir well.
  5. Add a pinch of food colouring to give a beautiful golden yellow colour to it and stir again till it cooks completely and becomes non sticky.
  6. Now add ghee for additional taste and flavour.
  7. Garnish the halwa with dry fruits and serve hot.
